Bunnies and Premonitions
How much do I like it when people buy my stuff? Enough to whine for pictures and demand they be uploaded to a convinient location for my eventual stealing and pimping, that’s how much.
Resident musician Erik went out and nabbed himself a small print of this swan song from my Photoshop days. Once it came, he got a little frame for it and now keeps it next to his bed or something likewise equal parts flattering and creepy. Then again, if the years and my social circle have proven anything, it’s that you’re not in my crowd if you don’t weird me out a little, so good job to him. Check this out, peoples!
So yeah, that’s pretty awesome. Dunno about the frame, but that print ran him fifty cents for a 4×6, of which I got a glorious dime that I shall gloat about forever. On the other hand, after shipping it was like $2.50, out of which I made ten cents, so allow me to give unto you some advice before a couple things happen. Find my cheap crap if you want it, and go for it while the shipping sale is still on and before I realize how insane I am for not upping the price to a dollar so I can make a remote amount of something. I’m not saying I’ll settle on that price per sé, but Erik raised a valid point in lamenting how little of that coin actually went to me. Starving artist for a reason, as they say.
Speaking of crap you can buy, recall that DA totally makes coffee mugs and that there is one that I would adore being able to get despite never needing the things unless I’m diein’ for cocoa. I’ve not compared mug prices between DA and CP (CP is cheaper but I know not of size and don’t recall my return, whereas DA is like $2.50 or something), but CP doesn’t do black last i checked and if the standard mug is somehow SMALLER than CP’s then I’m not sure what good it would be anyway. Then again, it’s an art site, so maybe artists all drink shot glasses of coffee or something.
Speaking of my wares, something I’ve been working on for a while is nearing completion. If you’re among the good people to hit the “read more” link at the end of blog posts (or use the RSS feed, bless your lovely little hearts), there’s a chance you’re among the small number of followers I’ve obtained on Twitter, but in the event you’ve not been keeping up with such things (fix that) consider this your semi-insider hint:
Memorial Day will not have a standard page update. I can’t guarantee it’ll have any update, but sometime close to or on that date the site will be receiving a glorious bit of something that’s been a long time coming. You can probably guess what just because if you’ve read my blog once you probably read it all the time (right?), and maybe you’re one of the voters who’s seen this coming for a while now. Oh, yes, I’m practically giving it away now, but this is the one place I’m not gonna blatantly say it. I’ll leave that to you guys to figure out and mull over in the neglected comments section because I am so very not evil at all. Seriously, this is pretty obvious, and if I have my way it’ll be going down sometime around during Memorial Day week. I’m missing a proper update for this, yes, but it’ll be worth it, I’m certain. Stick with me!
Again, if you want up-to-the-minute details on project progress, site updates, and my own junk (or just want to make me happy), follow HP on Twitter. I’ve been all over this thing the last couple weeks (I deal with break-ups weird) and due to how this project will be posted, Twitter will get the notice before anyone with an RSS feed finds out. I’m serious. You’ve been warned.
For anyone who hasn’t read this, well, we’re laughing at you, and will do so more come next Monday when the update is missing and none of you check the blog to find out why.
Peace!
